GREAT JOB!!

Hello MASC!

Just a note to express my thanks for an outstanding Officershop on Friday!   The participation of our students and advisors was amazing!  We truly collected over 450 superheroes under one roof at the Hogan Center at Holy Cross!  I hope you all had a great time.

Advisors...I meant to inquire of your probability of attending the MASC Advisor Retreat on January 25 & 26, 2012.  If you think you will be attending...I would love your feedback.  Please email me.

See you soon.

National Principal's Month

Hello MASC!

Please encourage your student council to participate in National Principal Month!  Please see the message from NASSP to all state directors.  I wanted to be sure to pass it along to help you celebrate our amazing principals that do so much for our councils!  See you soon.  Paul

Dear Student Council Executive Directors –

I know all of you are aware of principals in your state who are doing fantastic things in their schools.  Many are great supporters for student council activities and programs.   Please pass the following message on to your member schools.  We are hoping to recognize many principals with video snippets during National Principals Month and would appreciate your help in spreading the word.  We will also be showing these videos during other NASSP student program events.

October is National Principals Month, and NASSP and SchoolTube want you to give props to your principal. Make a one- to two-minute video showing why your principal rocks, and then upload it to the National Principals Month channel on SchoolTube.com. Three winning videos will receive national exposure on SchoolTube.com and NASSP.org, as well as a $200 Best Buy gift card. Don't wait, entries must be received by October 15.

To honor the great work of principals throughout the country NASSP and NAESP (National Association of Elementary School Principals) are designating October 2012 as National Principals Month. Please visit the new site at www.principalsmonth.org

See you all soon!
